Translation
I grew up in Costa Rica, where I was fortunate to receive a world-class English education, to the point where I only have one memory of not understanding English as a small child. I consider both English and Spanish as my mother tongues.
Plus, as an avid writer and reader, languages came to me naturally (I can also understand some French, Italian, and Portuguese). Translating had been a constant, informal activity in my daily life for as long as I could remember, so in 2021, I finally formalized this skill at the University of Massachusetts - Amherst, where I was trained in translation, interpreting, and subtitling. My skills also include: editing, proofreading, and strict verbatim transcription. My clients so far include: the Safe & Together Institute, Multilingual Connections, and independent clients. I also fully translated and subtitled the independent Costa Rican documentary, Cálido Afuera, available here on Youtube. Translation inquiries at: [email protected] 🌱🌱🌱 |
